Milanko Šekler – pregled naučne produkcije

Dr Milanko Šekler je rođen 1967. godine. Srednju veterinarsku školu je završio u Kraljevu, da bi zatim postao diplomirani veterinar 1993. na Fakultetu veterinarske medicine u Beogradu. Zvanje magistra veterinarskih nauka iz oblasti imunologija stiče 2004. godine, a doktor veterinarskih nauka iz oblasti mikrobiologije pet godina kasnije. U biografiji na sajtu Veterinarskog specijalističkog instituta „Kraljevo” da je specijalista uže specijalnosti iz oblasti mikrobiologija sa imunologijom postao 2016. godine. Takođe se navodi i da je član Srpskog Veterinarskog Društva, PSA of USA (Poultry Science Association), Društva Virusologa Srbije, Ptice Pevačice Faune Evrope, Ekološkiog Pokreta „Ibar”, Fonda za razvoj doline „Ibra” (IDA), sekcije za Zoonoze SVD-a, Akademije veterinarske medicine SVD.

Trenutno radi na poziciji koordinatora rada Nacionalne referentne laboratorije za avijarnu influencu i Njukastl bolest živine Republike Srbije, a saradnik je Odeljenja za laboratorijsku dijagnostiku na Veterinarskom institutu u Kraljevu, piše u biografiji. Izabran je za člana Kriznog štaba za suzbijanje bolesti kvrgave kože goveda u Srbiji 2016. godine. Bio je načelnik vodeće i jedine referentne laboratorije u Srbiji za ispitivanje virusa ptičjeg gripa, a i pre širenja zareze bavio se divljim pticama, pišu Ibarske novosti. Sa svojim stručnim timom je prvi pročitao genom virusa korona u Srbiji, a to je upisano u svetsku bazu podataka, prenosi RTS. Juna 2021. godine je odlikovan ordenom Karađorđeve zvezde trećeg stepena.
